Creative Writing
Campus and Online
Full Sail’s degree in Creative Writing allows you to wield that power in a way that is at once meaningful and savvy. You’ll learn how to tell a tale across different media platforms, incorporating visual elements and exploring a variety of genres. You’ll examine different modes of publication and distribution, and hone your craft through ongoing portfolio courses and peer-to-peer workshops.
COURSE HIGHLIGHTS:
The Literary Techniques and Story Development Course provides a broad spectrum and intensive study of authorial choices and literary techniques that bring meaning and direction to stories.
The Publishing and Distribution Course provides an overview of the publishing industry from its inception on stone tablets to mobile media storytelling platforms.

Media Communications

The Media Communications program is designed to is designed to provide a thorough understanding of the skills needed to succeed in today’s dynamic media industries. Throughout the project-based curriculum, you’ll explore topics ranging from digital video and audio production to entrepreneurship and marketing strategies. You’ll also hone standard industry skills such as storytelling, graphic design, research methodology, and the ability to articulate abstract concepts.
COURSE HIGHLIGHTS:
Students will explore a variety of media used in digital and online environments to accomplish course projects and further their understanding of new-media tools, including images, text, and streaming video and audio.
In this course, students will examine the integration of marketing channels and public relations by using digital media to develop strategies and creative campaigns.
